A quick look at the points table shows that this season is not going to plan for either Three Kings or Manurewa.
With the halfway point of the league approaching, both sides will need to start putting better results on the board to stay in touch with those above them.
In an interesting quirk of the season’s results thus far, Three Kings is yet to win a game at home, whilst all Manurewa’s points have come in away fixtures.

Last week’s 1-0 victory away at Hamilton Wanderers would’ve been a welcome return to form for Three Kings, especially after consecutive 5-0 defeats. Allan Pearce scored his 7th of the season and currently occupies joint first spot in the golden boot race.
Manurewa went down 2-0 at home to Waitakere City; thus far they’ve taken points off the two teams immediately above them on the table and will have subsequently have high hopes of a positive result today.

One man with a foot in both camps will be Nic Cao, who will no doubt be known to many around the Auckland football scene.
Cao is quoted as being unable to separate the two teams, but from a home perspective there’s only one result we’re gunning for!
