Three Kings United heads into the new season with much hope and expectation, on the back of how they performed last season. For most of the season they were in the running for both the NRFL Premier League and Chatham Cup.
The boys gave everything, but unfortunately ran out of steam towards the tail end of both campaigns.

Onehunga Sports finished one spot below Three Kings United in the league (by just one point), and were knocked out of the Chatham Cup by Three Kings United.
Additionally, this fixture last season saw a 3-1 victory to the home team, whilst the reverse leg ended in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Three Kings United will want to carry that same recent history against Onehunga Sports over to this season, and both teams will be looking to make an early statement in the competition.

Three Kings United has had some big personnel changes during the off season.
They’ve managed to retain some key players, have lost some, but have also recruited well.
How the squad gels will be critical early in the season.
