Dear Three Kings United and Auckland United Members.
We hope that this finds you all safe and well in your bubbles.
With the Government’s recent announcement of what Level 2 is likely to look like, we are very excited that we should soon be able to get a decent football season underway. We are now working behind the scenes to ensure we can deliver a safe and enjoyable football environment for 2020.
At this stage we are still awaiting guidance:
- From the Government as to the exact date that Level 2 will commence
- From NZ Football and Auckland Football with regards to season start dates, contact tracing for training and matches, and hygiene practices both for our people and our equipment, and WorkSafe guidelines for our staff. Sport NZ has released guidelines, but NZF and AFF will have further guidelines and will be able to provide more guidance in some areas
- From Auckland Council as to when they will open the fields and facilities for both training and playing
If you are not registered, or know of friends or family that are not registered, please register ASAP. We will be commencing the process of forming our internal football teams as soon as we can, and we don’t want anyone to miss out. We also still have space in some of our youth teams
We’ll be posting minor updates on social media, and as soon as we can, we will distribute a newsletter detailing what the season will look like, how training’s and matches will work, and any other relevant information.
We’ll be in touch again soon and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
