Three Kings United Football Club has outsourced our academy to Coerver Coaching.
Coerver are a skills based technical coaching academy, that have Dutch roots, but a global record, and have operated in New Zealand for a number of years. Three Kings have secured Phillip Parker, their head technical coach, to lead a team of Coerver trained coaches in delivering the TKU Coerver Academy, and at Three Kings United grounds.
Coerver believe that any system is only as good as the individuals in it. Coerver want players to be confident on the ball. To achieve this confidence in the pressure of a match situation, Coerver believe in mastering a number of skills around the ball, and as players achieve proficiency in these skills, they progress to the next set of skills. This is a building blocks approach to skill development. The ultimate outcome is confident players with excellent individual ball skills.
At Three Kings we would like to see many young players join the TKU Coerver Academy. It is envisaged that many teams will train once (or twice) a week with their coaches, and in addition to this we would hope to see many players also train once a week at the TKU Coerver Academy, where individual skills will be worked on. It may be that some teams would enrol as a team at a TKU Coerver Academy session, or of course players can enrol as individuals. These sessions will cater to all ages, 6 through 15, and will also cater to all ability levels. This TKU Coerver Academy is by no means compulsory, but the Three Kings Executive Committee is pleased to be able to offer it to our Junior and Youth members.
The cost of the TKU Coerver academy will be set at $125/term – based on 8 sessions per term.
There is also the one-off requirement to buy a TKU Coerver Academy shirt. The cost is $30.00.
