It has been a while since we gave you an update about what is happening with our new clubhouse.
A lot has been going on behind the scenes this year, to raise more funds, and to fine-tune the clubhouse design and specs to keep us within budget.
Firstly, we are so excited that our fundraising efforts have got us to the $4.25 million mark!
Thanks to grants from Auckland Council, Lotteries, Foundation North, Four Winds Foundation, and NZCT, we are nearly there.
Not to mention two mega-raffle fundraisers at the club, which together raised nearly $50k, and donations from private individuals.
We are almost there – building consents have been lodged with Auckland Council and detailed planning is gaining momentum.
With just a bit more of a fundraising push, we will raise the remainder of funds and start the build in the first part of 2018.
To do this, we have engaged the services of a Development Manager, Kate Barrett, a Mount Eden local whose bio you can read in our latest newsletter.
In 2018, we expect to bring you regular news and updates again about funding and construction progress. Watch this space!
