Appointment of Director of Junior and Youth Football – Paul Temple

The Executive is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Temple as Three Kings United’s Director of Junior and Youth Football.  Paul is well known to New Zealand Football having coached the New Zealand U17 Women at the 2008 World Cup, and he is the current assistant coach to the NZ U20 Women’s (as well as part of the NZ Senior Women’s coaching team). He holds a Senior Level 3 License and is qualified to run coach educations programmes that will assist our own club coaches attain higher level learning.

Paul TempleAt a local level Paul has held a Coach Operations Manager position with Auckland Football as well as coaching various senior men’s and women’s squads. Last year Paul was a player/coach with our winning senior men’s side, however this year he will focus on player and coaching development.  Paul can draw on his own experiences as a player having won the Chatham Cup with Mt Wellington in 2001 and 2003.

Paul is also tasked to lead our Academy programme for juniors up to U12. He is certainly passionate about the future prospects of a club that he says with such young talent there is no reason these players can progress through the grades to senior level. Paul’s appointment is also fully supported by our Senior Men’s and Women’s coaches.

Congratulations Tony Pickering - Tony was a recipient of one of the Auckland Football Long Service Medals that were awarded in December at the Cheers Volunteers Evening.

Tony has actively been involved on the Executive committees of the Eden and Three Kings United club's for the last 25 years. Tony is a life member of the Three Kings United Club and has held various positions including Treasurer and more recently Secretary, he is also a bar manager at Three Kings. Well done Tony for your outstanding service and contribution.
